Crucian Investments' Founder Lincoln Joseph’s five-plus years experience in both the mortgage origination and real estate investment fields enables him to offer rent-to-own clients beautiful homes, townhouses and condominiums through alternative methods of financing, to help them finalize the American dream of home ownership.

As part of its team approach, Crucian Investments works hand-in-hand with Bayou Mortgage. While Lincoln and his property team work diligently to find the perfect home, Bayou Mortgage will focus its efforts on securing potential buyers’ future mortgages.

Lincoln Joseph

I worked for my father’s construction company all through high school and college. During that time I saw everything from the most elegant homes and architecturally-stunning corporate facilities to the nastiest, roach and rat-infested shacks. 

After more than ten years of working with my father, I thought I had seen it all and nothing could possibly shock or impress me. The majority of our clientele was investors, homeowners and real estate agents, and they were always clean cut, well dressed and drove nice cars – through my young eyes and nose they looked and smelled like money.

But then it happened: The one house that changed how I looked at life. This particular beautiful estate didn’t look much different than the others in its gated community until I looked at the blue print: An elevator was going to be installed in this house! I wondered to myself what this homeowner did for a living that he could afford to put an elevator in his home.

He was a retired mechanical engineer. So right then and there I decided I was going to college and major in mechanical engineering.  Every time someone asked me what my major was and I told them, they would always say “You must be so smart.” Of course, I would always tell them  yes, but silently I was always thinking “I want that elevator.”

I easily maintained a 3.0 grade-point average, but after my junior year I realized I didn’t want to work nine-to-five for the same company for forty years before I could retire and receive social security and hopefully a solid 401k plan. I immediately thought of my father’s clientele and how much I wanted their entrepreneurial lifestyles. It was at that point that I changed my direction and decided to study real estate investment strategies.

When I registered for my classes, I also took advantage of enrolling in a mortgage course. I enjoyed my classes and caught on quickly, and was soon offered a job at a mortgage company originating loans where I worked for two years. I spent that time learning absolutely everything there was to know about the mortgage industry before I activated my real estate license.

I have successfully sold real estate and originated home loans for more than five years. I enjoy my work because I don’t just show houses and push paperwork; I take the time to work with my clients and educate them about the entire loan and home buying process.

I was recently selected to join a ‘mastermind’ investor group, comprised of some of the best and the brightest in their individual real estate specialties – buying, selling, investing, and mortgage refinancing both on the residential and commercial level.

This group of professionals has helped me to see the big picture of the entire real estate market in a brighter, more focused and informed light. I can honestly state as fact that I know more about real estate than 98% of the realtors and investors in my market. With all the information and immediate access to the best of the best professionals in my region, I now know I offer the best solutions for every client’s specific real estate scenario.

Since losing both my parents, my outlook on life has changed. I try to see the positive versus the negative in every day life, or try to find the opportunity that lies within every problem.

I continue to give 100% to my clients, because I can always say that I tried to offer as many options that I knew were available; I’ll never sit and wonder what if I had tried harder.

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon anywhere in my home when I was growing up,  and I am not surrounded by people who I can turn to and say “Hey can I borrow some money to pay a few bills?”

I have a five-year-old son who is everything  to me and I want to give him and his mother the world. So I'm here for the duration, not trying to make a quick buck: I need rather to stay around to build Crucian Investments into an empire that helps not just my family, but yours.
